Eyelash Extensions In Charleston, SC

Visitors seek out eyelash enhancements for a variety of reasons. For some, they would like to enhance their naturally thinner or lighter lashes. For others, they may be dealing with loss or thinning of eyelashes due to drug reactions, endocrine disorders, or systemic disease. Whatever the reason, we offer several options to give you thicker, fuller-looking lashes. There are several options available for enhancing thin or light eyelashes. Eyelash extensions are one option. At AquaVitae, we offer the two highest quality products on the market: Faux Mink and Silk, as well as lash tinting.

Faux Mink Eyelash Extensions

As the name suggests, these lashes are not sourced from any living animal. Rather they are fully man-made of poly-fiber. Like natural material, though, they maintain excellent flexibility, are available in a variety of lengths and diameters, and hold a curl. Quite versatile and customizable, these lashes are bold and glossy looking, but can still look natural.

Silk Eyelash Extensions

Lighter weight than faux mink, these extensions are finer and more flexible. They’re an excellent choice for older clients and those with thinner, weaker remaining lashes. Silk extensions are available in a variety of lengths and diameters. The curl can be slightly inconsistent, but that adds to a more natural look. Some users find silk extensions less comfortable than faux mink, and prefer to wear them for special occasions rather than every-day wear.

Eyelash Tinting

Our Licensed Esthetician performs eyebrow and lash tinting. Lash tinting is another option for lash enhancement, optimal for those who do not wish to wear extensions but have light colored or thin lashes they wish to enhance. The tint comes in brown, black, or a dramatic “blue-black.” Your esthetician will help you choose the correct hue for your coloring. Tinting is done on site. Your esthetician will smooth organic balm to the area around your eyes to protect your skin from staining. The tint is applied with a fine brush and allowed to set for approximately 10 minutes. Once the tint has set, the esthetician will remove excess tint with a moist cotton pad before moisturizing the area with a natural eye cream. You may choose to have both lashes and brows tinted at the same time.

You shut your eyes, and the tint is applied to lashes with a fine brush, and allowed to set for at least 10 minutes. You will receive your foot or hand massage during this time. With your eyes still shut, the esthetician begins to remove the dye with cotton wool dampened with warm water. This might take a few minutes of gentle strokes and several pads. When the excess dye has been removed, you open your eyes; the esthetician cleans up the under-eye area and lid with additional moist cotton. A natural eye cream is then applied to moisturize your eye area.
